Preheat oven to 350℉
Place chicken in plastic bag.
Pour buttermilk over the chicken.
Shake bag making sure chicken is evenly coated.
Add salt and flour. Shake again, evenly coating chicken.
Pour enough sauce into the bottom of a baking dish or cast iron skillet to lightly coat the bottom.
Add the chicken skin side up. Pour remaining sauce over the chicken.
Bake for 1 hour or until chicken reaches 160-165℉.
Let chicken rest before serving. Garnish with green onion tops if desired.
