Chicken Alfredo Braid
Ingredients
- 1½ cups cooked shredded chicken
- ½ jar prepared Alfredo sauce
- ½ cup mozzarella cheese
- 1 tsp. Italian seasoning
- salt to taste
- pepper to taste
- 1 sheet puff pastry thawed
- 1 egg slightly beaten
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 400
- In a large bowl, add the chicken, Alfredo, cheese and seasonings and mix well.
- Place puff pastry on a parchment lined baking sheet.
- Cut 3/4 inch diagonal strips on the outer panels of the pastry.
- Fill center of the pastry with chicken filling.
- Fold one slit of pastry over the other alternately from both sides covering the filling.
- Tuck ends under tightly.
- Brush with beaten egg and sprinkle kosher salt and pepper on top.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes. Garnish with parmesan cheese.
